Airspace World 2026 in Lisbon was an exciting opportunity to reconnect with the ATM community, exchange ideas, and explore the future of workforce scheduling.
For the SkyRoster team, this year's event felt different.
While previous years focused on introducing intelligent rostering and demonstrating the benefits of automation, this year the conversation evolved. Organisations were no longer asking whether workforce scheduling should be modernized, they were asking how quickly they could begin the journey.
The growing interest in Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and accessible rostering solutions confirmed that workforce management continues to move higher on the strategic agenda for ANSPs worldwide.

Community Edition Takes Off
One of the most exciting topics discussed during Airspace World 2026 was SkyRoster Community Edition.
Designed to make modern workforce scheduling more accessible, Community Edition gives organisations the opportunity to explore key SkyRoster capabilities through a free self-hosted deployment.
The response from visitors was extremely positive. Many organisations expressed interest in experiencing the platform firsthand and discovering how intelligent rostering can support planning, compliance management, competency tracking, and operational decision-making.
Community Edition currently includes access to:
Strategic Rostering
By lowering the barriers to entry, we hope to help more organisations take their first step towards smarter workforce management.
Congratulations to Our Free Trial Winners
To celebrate Airspace World 2026 and the launch of SkyRoster Community Edition, we organised a special raffle throughout the event.
Visitors who entered the draw had the opportunity to win an exclusive free trial period of SkyRoster, allowing their organisations to explore the platform and experience intelligent workforce scheduling firsthand.
The initiative generated significant interest and sparked valuable conversations about digital transformation, operational resilience, and the future of workforce planning in Air Traffic Management.
We would like to congratulate all the winners and thank everyone who participated. We look forward to supporting them as they begin their SkyRoster journey and explore the benefits of modern workforce scheduling in their own operational environments.

Why So Many People Wanted to Talk About SkAI
Visitors were increasingly curious about how AI can help simplify complex scheduling processes, provide instant access to workforce information, and support faster decision-making.
This is exactly why we introduced SkAI: SkyRoster's AI-powered assistant.
SkAI allows users to interact with rostering data using natural language, making workforce management more intuitive and accessible than ever before. Instead of navigating multiple screens and reports, planners can simply ask questions and receive immediate answers.
The enthusiasm surrounding SkAI confirmed something we have been observing across the industry for some time: organisations are moving beyond automation and beginning to embrace truly intelligent workforce management.
What We Learned from the ATM Community
Beyond the technology itself, Airspace World remains an invaluable opportunity to learn directly from the people responsible for managing complex operational environments.
Across many conversations, several common themes emerged:
· Workforce shortages remain a significant challenge.
· Fatigue management continues to be a top priority. Get our free eBook for simple fatigue management tips.
· Operational resilience is becoming increasingly important.
· Organisations are looking for ways to reduce manual planning effort while maintaining compliance and flexibility.
These insights continue to shape the future development of SkyRoster and reinforce our commitment to delivering practical solutions to real operational challenges.
Beyond the Exhibition Floor
Beyond the innovation and industry discussions, Airspace World 2026 was also an opportunity to strengthen our team connections. Sharing ideas, exploring Lisbon, and celebrating another successful event together reminded us that collaboration remains at the heart of everything we do.

Looking Ahead
As we leave Lisbon, we do so with fresh ideas, valuable feedback, and exciting opportunities ahead.
The strong interest in Community Edition, the enthusiasm surrounding SkAI, and the engagement from aviation professionals across the globe reinforce our belief that the future of workforce scheduling is intelligent, collaborative, and accessible.
To everyone who visited our stand, attended our demonstrations, and shared their insights with us - thank you.
We look forward to continuing the conversation and helping to shape the future of workforce management together!
The future of workforce scheduling is here!
