Workflow · Daily operations

The day changes. Keep the plan current.

Bring the published roster, sector demand and controller qualifications into the working day. Allocate positions, respond to absences and review coverage before handover.

Stage 1 · Prepare

Set sector demand and allocation intervals.

Select the sector opening that defines the day’s position demand in 15-minute intervals. Choose a tactical interval of 15, 30 or 60 minutes, within each working position’s maximum duration.

The roster shows who is on duty. The sector opening defines the positions to cover.

Stage 2 · Allocate

Allocate controllers to working positions.

Preferred allocation

Apply a saved position pattern to an interval or the full day.

Manual adjustments

Review controller qualifications when assigning positions. Pin or lock assignments that should be retained.

Save to keep the changes. Closing without saving discards them.

Stage 3 · Respond

Review the options when someone is absent.

An approved leave request updates the roster. The supervisor can then review the resulting coverage gap and the options for a replacement.

Available options can include the roster’s backup pool or a work request for an additional shift. Review the replacement’s eligibility and operational suitability. See the request workflow.

Stage 4 · Extend

Review and record shift extensions.

Request an earlier start or a later finish. The extension follows configured duration limits, monthly caps and approvals.

Approval carries the change into attendance and hours accounting. Bank of Working Hours and overtime rules determine how the extra time is recorded.

Stage 5 · Check coverage

Keep coverage in view.

Use Resource, Position, Occupancy and Summary views to inspect assignments, demand, available headcount and worked time. Check Solution evaluates applicable tactical rules without changing the grid.

Stage 6 · Handover

Save the position plan for handover.

Staff see saved position assignments in the mobile app. Supervisors can review the position plan, outstanding requests and gaps before handing over responsibility.

Expected attendance reflects tactical slots and relevant duties. Future periods update when rescheduled; changes to periods already started require supervisor review. The reconciled record continues into month end.
