Shift swaps

See why a swap can or cannot proceed.

A swap is checked as you browse, when you submit and again at approval. Each stage takes account of roster compatibility, qualifications, rest, overtime and banked hours.

The workflow includes up to 24 automated checks and reports failed checks. Your unit configures the approval chain. Where individual consent is required, both employees must agree. Review shift-swap checks →

Rostering rules

Understand the rules used in roster decisions.

The rostering engine optimises assignments against configured constraints. It does not learn behavioural profiles from staff activity. Repeated runs with the same inputs can produce different assignments and scores.

The Vacation Score used to prioritise popular leave dates is visible on the employee dashboard. Administrators configure its scoring table. Your organisation remains responsible for agreeing suitable rules and explaining how they are used.

Consultation

Take part in developing the rostering system.

ATS.OR.320(b) requires providers to consult controllers or their representatives during development and application of the rostering system to identify and mitigate fatigue risks arising from it.

Software configuration supports the resulting policy; it does not replace consultation. Read the requirement and supporting guidance →
